Happy Holidays

During these unsettling times, please make sure you are limiting social gatherings, maintaining social distancing, washing hands frequently, and Making sure you are wearing masks. Our children are at risk as well. Before you allow your kids to play and/or hang out with others in the community, keep this in mind.

Holiday Hours

Our office will be closed on Thursday, December 24, and Friday, December 25, to honor the Christmas Holiday. The office will reopen on December 28.

Our office will also be closed on Thursday, December 31, and Friday, January 1, in honor of the New Year’s Holiday. The office will reopen on January 4.

Book Mobile

Thus far the Book Mobile continues to service our community every Monday from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM.

Mobile Food Market

The Mobile Food Market is in the community twice a month from 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM. Mili will have the signboard out to remind you of the dates.

December dates are the 9th and 14th.

Free Firewood

Help yourselves to firewood located in the deck boxes by the basketball hoops upfront.

Please only take what you need as the wood is for everyone in the community. Those of you with fireplaces, please be sure to have your chimneys cleaned regularly.

Plowing, Shoveling, and Salting

This year, Mili and I will be plowing. Your patience and understanding as we navigate our way through this season are greatly appreciated.

Make sure to stay on top of your shoveling and salting this year. Those of you on corner lots, make sure you clear both sides of the sidewalk. Remember to keep your curb and gutter clear of ice, so we don’t pool and/or flood.

Site Inspections

Site inspections will continue on a monthly basis. Please keep it neat, clean and orderly.

Resident Referrals = extra $$$$$

Do you know someone looking for a nice community in which to live? Someone who is looking to buy an affordable home? We currently have homes and sites available. Chicago-Kenosha Co. Inc. / Timber Ridge MHC is diligently working on putting new homes into our community. As the homes sell, we will order more. Any resident desirous of trading in their home for a new home, please contact me for details. If you know of someone looking for their new forever home or even a starter home, send them our way. Word of mouth is the best advertising. That being said, we are offering $1,000.00 to every resident that refers a qualified buyer who purchases one of our new homes.

All that being said, everyone needs to do their part in taking care of, taking pride in their homes and sites.

Residential Recycling Center and Hazardous Waste Collection

As of December 5th, the recycling center will only be open Saturdays between 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Keep this in mind for when you remove your Christmas trees. You can either drop them Off at Village Hall December 26-January 31 or take them to the compost on Saturday. We do not haul/remove them for you.

Prompt Pay Discount

Please be advised that as of January 1, 2021, to receive your $35 prompt pay discount, your rent and water, and sewer utility bill must be paid in full on or before the 2nd of each month. There will be no more exceptions.

No Parking

There is no parking on North Street and no parking on the Northside of Middle Street during a snowfall until the roads have been plowed and salted.

Please DO NOT park on the sidewalk. Car will be tagged and towed if they are parked on the sidewalk.

Exceptions…Lot #87, #88, #89 may park slightly on the curb when water pools on the street, not on the sidewalk.
